My very first photo shoot in Zermatt! And my very first time ever in Zermatt. (: So of course I was delighted to receive a request from Serene & Yu via my Instagram. They are newlyweds and spent their honeymoon in beautiful Switzerland. Of course, they couldn’t miss the beautiful Zermatt. They are originally from Malaysia and it was very exciting to learn more about their country of origin. The cultures are always so different from country to country, I think. We planned the photo shoot together in advance and decided to visit two well-known viewpoints in Zermatt. It was a beautiful day in February and I was so happy about it. The sun was shining and you could see the Matterhorn beautifully. That’s often not the case, it’s often hidden behind a cloud. I was so happy for Serene & Yu that they had such a great day. I took photos of them with a view of the beautiful village of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Of course, they also had a little snowball fight. (: After the sun had disappeared behind the majestic mountains, we walked to the second spot. Here, too, we had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. As it slowly started to get dark, we strolled through the village of Zermatt. Of course, we also took a few pictures here. The wooden houses, the lights and the hustle and bustle of the many people is very impressive. There are so many nice and cozy restaurants and stores. I can see why so many people are drawn to Zermatt. (: Finally, we took a few pictures in front of the beautiful hotel “Zermatterhof” which was beautifully lit up with lots of lights. How much does a photo shoot in Zermatt cost?
For a photo shoot in Zermatt I charge the normal costs for a photo session of 1-1.5 hours. There is a fixed price of 480 chf plus travel expenses. If you would like to do a photo shoot at the Riffelsee in Zermatt, the expenses for the gondola ride will be added. I will be happy to help you with the calculation. The price naturally includes all the preparation and post-processing, including careful editing of the pictures. Will you help us choose clothes for the photo shoot?
I would be happy to send you a What to Wear Guide with lots of tips and tricks. It’s important to me that you feel super comfortable and beautiful and still be yourselves with your choice of clothes for the photo shoot. (: The choice of clothes is very important so that the pictures are coherent and harmonize. I have documented all the information for you in the What to Wear Guide.
Weather conditions and backup plans?
If you’re worried about the weather or wondering what will happen if it rains, don’t panic! We can be flexible with the shoot and reschedule as needed in covered areas, such as under archways or in beautiful indoor spaces. If the weather gives us blue skies and bright sunshine, all the better! (: But we can also take creative photos with clouds and rain, I promise.
The duration of the photo shoot in Zermatt?
If you are concerned about the time frame of your photo shoot, rest assured that we will take the time we need to get great shots. I like to recommend early morning or late afternoon to capture the most beautiful natural light. A typical couple shoot takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, but if we have particularly creative ideas at a certain location, we’ll just take our time. Let’s make sure we capture the best moments together, without stress. (: There is also the option for couples to book a slightly longer couple photoshoot, which lasts 3 hours.
