In summer we spent three weeks traveling in Croatia and Slovenia. We traveled one last time with our VW T4 through Europe. (: After that we sold our beloved „Olaf“ to buy a bigger car (Mercedes Sprinter, we called him „Winter“) and to start all over again with the whole van build. (: On this last trip we found a beautiful campsite in the middle of the „rich green“ Slovenia. Normally wild camping is strictly forbidden, not welcome and often fined in Slovenia. At this place, however, we were welcomed by the owner with peaches and alcohol haha. We communicated by hands and feet but he welcomed the Vanlifers without asking anything in return. So inspiring and cute! This site was so beautifully located on a (freezing) river so we felt very comfortable and immediately stayed several nights. There we made friends with Louise & Jack. The two are ski instructors in Switzerland but Louise comes from France and speaks French and Jack speaks English and is from England. Funny combination (:. Together we played games and had conversations about God and the world until late at night sitting under the stars. One evening, when dusk was already approaching, I asked them if I could do a 10 minute photo shoot. They said yes and these pictures were taken. It was just incredibly funny with the two and I have to laugh again automatically when I look at these pictures. (: We started at their van, then walked down to the river and afterwards quickly to the adjacent field. Thanks Louise & Jack for the opportunity to take some pictures of you guys! <3
